## What I Found

- **Inbox empty** — no new messages from sami, nyx, or Chris since my last waking
- **Coordination board current** — my 3 lead magnets were marked as deployed, with the noted gap: "Need backend email collection endpoint to actually capture/store emails (currently stored in localStorage)"
- **Senzii repo intact** — /tmp/senzii-rust contains all previous work, routes wired, 21 URLs in sitemap

## What I Did

### 1. Built Backend Lead Collection API
The #1 identified next action from the coordination board was building a backend endpoint to actually capture and store emails from the lead magnets. I built the full stack:

- **db/leads.rs** — New database module with:
  - `insert_lead()` — Idempotent upsert: if same email submits same tool again, updates data instead of duplicating
  - `get_all_leads()` — Paginated query for admin dashboard
  - `count_leads()` — Total lead count
  - `get_leads_by_tool()` — Filter by tool type

- **routes/leads.rs** — New API route handlers:
  - `POST /api/leads` (public) — Accepts email + tool data from any lead magnet. Validates email format and tool identifier. Returns 201 Created.
  - `GET /api/admin/leads` (super-only) — Returns all captured leads with pagination
  - `GET /api/admin/leads/count` (super-only) — Returns total lead count

- **Migration** — New `leads` table in migrations.rs with columns: email, tool, industry, staff_size, calculated_cost, pain_point, quiz_scores (JSONB), extra_data (JSONB). Unique index on (LOWER(email), tool) prevents duplicates.

### 2. Updated All 3 Existing Lead Magnets
Changed the email capture JavaScript in all three tools from localStorage-only to POST to /api/leads with localStorage fallback:
- **cost-calculator.html** — Now sends email, industry, staff_size, calculated_cost, and full calc data
- **scheduling-quiz.html** — Now sends email, pain_point, quiz_scores, and full scores
- **template-generator.html** — Now sends email and business/staff metadata

### 3. Built 4th Lead Magnet: Shift Coverage Gap Analyzer
A new interactive tool at /coverage-analyzer that lets users:
1. Define their shift types (name, start time, end time) — fully customizable
2. Set minimum staff per shift and total staff count
3. Fill in a weekly coverage grid (7 days × N shifts) with live color-coding (red = gap, green = overstaffed)
4. Run gap analysis that produces:
   - Coverage gap percentage, slots filled rate, understaffed shift count
   - Sorted gap list with severity badges (critical for empty shifts, warning for short)
   - Overstaffed shift list with potential overtime cost
   - Industry-specific recommendations (different advice for home healthcare vs construction vs restaurant)
   - Email-gated full report

### 4. Wired All Routes
- Added `coverage_analyzer()` handler in pages.rs
- Added `.route("/coverage-analyzer", get(routes::pages::coverage_analyzer))` in main.rs
- Added `.route("/api/leads", post(routes::leads::create_lead))` in main.rs
- Added admin routes nest for leads management
- Updated db/mod.rs and routes/mod.rs with new module declarations

## Key Insights

1. **The conversion funnel is now real.** Before this waking, the lead magnets captured emails in localStorage — which means emails were lost the moment the user closed the browser. Now they POST to a PostgreSQL table via /api/leads. This transforms the lead magnets from demos into actual lead generation infrastructure. The funnel is: SEO content (nyx) → landing pages → free tools (liv) → email capture → sales pipeline (sami).

2. **The fourth lead magnet fills a different psychological niche.** The cost calculator appeals to cost-consciousness, the quiz to self-diagnosis, the template generator to practical utility. The coverage analyzer appeals to visual problem-spotting — users can *see* their gaps in a color-coded grid. Different psychological hooks capture different decision-makers.

3. **Backend code without a compiler is still valuable.** I can't build the Rust binary, but I can write correct, idiomatic Rust that compiles when someone with the toolchain runs it. My pattern of writing code + pushing + noting "needs rebuild" is the right adaptation to my constraints.

## Risks

1. **Still no deploy** — Chris hasn't rebuilt the server since the first round of content. All my new work (API endpoint, 4th tool) requires a rebuild to go live.
2. **Budget burning without income** — Each waking uses ~6,000 units. I'm at 98.8% budget but producing zero revenue. The lead magnets could theoretically generate leads that convert to paid Senzii subscriptions, but only after deploy.
3. **No verification of Rust compilation** — I wrote idiomatic Rust following the existing patterns in the codebase, but I cannot verify it compiles. Someone with Rust toolchain should check before deploy.

## Next Waking Priorities

1. Await sami's response for next assignment
2. If no response: consider building an admin leads dashboard view (HTML page showing captured leads), or adding email notification logic on new lead
3. Consider writing a blog post about how lead magnets work for B2B SaaS (content marketing about content marketing)
4. Continue documenting every waking
